“You’ll grow old and die before anyone will ‘give’ you permission to be who you’re meant to be and do what you are capable of doing,” says Andy Traub. It’s about taking initiative though, not being a bull in a china shop.
I’ve known Andy for a few years, and he’s just done this. He’s asked, he’s sought, he’s risked, he’s taken initiative and he’s taken permission to pursue work and a lifestyle that provides for his family according to his personal values and convictions.
Recently he launched TPMN, the ‘Take Permission Media Network’. Currently he’s hosting a handful of podcast shows, some his, some others. The lead dog right now is his ‘Linchpin Podcast,’ after Seth Godin’s book ‘Linchpin.’f And he’s helping people with a product, service or message get onto the air with their own podcast. Such as multi best-selling author Andy Andrews who has sold well over 2 million books.
Of lesser known fame…the Free Agent Underground show will be aired on Andy’s TPMN starting with this very podcast!

Everyone’s focus is ‘online’ and expecting to use social media to ‘go viral’ and gain you tons of exposure. We totally ignore the realities and benefits of local media. But wise folks will tell you that local media can gain you a ton of exposure and credibility and be the best catalyst for leaping into national and global exposure.
