Websites and restaurants …some common mistakes, tying into social media and making your brand accessible
a. Not having one=bad
b. Having one that is outdated (menus, hours, etc…misinformation)
c. Menus not available
d. No (or not enticing) pictures
e. Not telling any story, no engagement
f. Tout yourself if you’ve earned it – health rating, awards, local best, news articles, reviews
g. Not asking for their information – emails are GOOD
h. Making it a dead end road
i. Connect to your outposts (even the ones you can’t control) – Reviews, social media (FB, twitter, linked in, Foursquare, Yelp, urban spoon, Google Places) other businesses, orgs u support, passions u have (motorcycling, softball, environment)
