You are the sum of the people you associate yourself with. I will repeat that. You are the sum of the people you associate yourself with. Turtles don’t move in flocks overhead, eagles do. 2011 has been an amazing year in large part because I have worked to spend more time with eagles than turtles.
Last night was one of those times when I got to sit back and enjoy watching us fly together. I had the pleasure of eating dinner with gifted, passionate and generous people that work with Women of Faith. People like Mandisa, Patsy Clairmont and Andy Andrews. These are GOOD people. Not “good” as in they don’t do bad things but GOOD as in they are overflowing with gifts, encouragement and joy. They are very real, very human and very relatable. I am better because I was able to have just one meal with them.
I’ll be spending the rest of the weekend with them attending the final Women of Faith event of the year. It’s an honor to call these people my friends and my hope and prayer for you is that you would be intentional about finding eagles to fly with. You have no idea the awesome places waiting for you.
