I decided we needed to walk the wrong way in the zoo.
Zoos have a specific layout just like supermarkets. There’s a path they want you to travel. Last week I took some time off from work and took my two oldest to the zoo. We’ve been there 100 times before but this time we went the “wrong way” because as we walked into the main entrance I took a deep breath and felt empowered in that moment. It felt like a moment I needed to pay attention to. It felt rich. It felt right. “Samuel! Caroline! We’re walking the other way today guys! Let’s go see the tiger first.”
It felt awkward. It felt like we were going the wrong way. It also felt different, rich and new. Going the wrong way can be the right thing at the zoo. I’m trying it in other places in my life now. You interested in joining me?
