How to create nothing, always have regrets and doubt yourself

Creating something is risky
I shipped something last week. (Ship is the term I use for launching something new). It didn’t go as well as I had hoped. I was stressed out. I had several technical difficulties. Some people left disappointed. A guy sent me an email after I launched my product and questioned if I would ever make money from it.

Failure only exists for those who don’t try

Did I fail? No. I succeeded. My goal was to ship. My goal was not perfection. My goal was not to please everyone. My goal is certainly not to please people who want to troll around and question what I’m shipping while they ship nothing.

How to fail
When you ship you can’t fail because when you ship you learn. The alternative is to make excuses, wait for the “perfect” time to launch or do some more “market research”. What are you waiting for? Seriously, ship something.
