How To Ruin The Teacher of The Year

If you want to ruin a teacher of the year, make her a principal.

Teaching and leading teachers are different.

Selling and managing sales people are different.

Product knowledge and building your downline are different.

Specialists can become leaders of other specialists with purposeful study but don’t pull your best team member out of position to fill a spot they’re not equipped to be successful in.

Meetings Are Not Your Mission

Meetings are rarely the point. They’re important but they are most often a means to an end. The meeting is to mobilize. The next step is to execute the mission.

Don’t confuse meeting with executing the mission.

This is true if you sell life insurance, lead your family, teach a class or run a ministry.

Meetings require members to gather.
Mission requires members to disperse.

Meetings bring clarity to the individual.
Mission sends you out to deliver that clear message.

Meetings create little fear.
Mission requires overcoming fear.

Meetings require collective focus.
Mission requires individual focus.

Meetings help members gain strength.
Mission requires using strength.

Meetings use projections.
Mission creates data.

How to be successful in life and business – It's pretty simple

Manning

God made you special.  He gave you unique gifts, perspective and passions.  If we’re all special why are some of us happier and more successful than others?  The difference between success and failure is the support system around you.  People and books are what make my life what it is today.  That sounds simplistic because it’s not that complicated.

  1. Read good books.
  2. Surround yourself with encouraging people who are as hungry for success as you are.
  3. Take action and seek accountability
