If you use WordPress as your platform for your web site then there’s a great option that provides a distraction free environment for you to write your content. You need to be in the HTML tab of your page or post and then you should see the “Fullscreen” button.
If you combine the fullscreen mode in WordPress with fullscreen mode for your browser (Cmd+Shift+F on a Mac) then you get a totally distraction free writing environment. Here’s what it looks like while I write this post.
